Many Ways to Support Jennifer

The White Boys (no pun intended) in our ward decided to shave their heads to support our momma! A special thanks to Nick, Chip and Chris!

1st Day of Chemo

Well my mom did it--her first day of chemo. My dad took off for a week and thanks to the ladies at church and in the neighborhood--our family has been FEASTING on all sorts of yummy foods.
Here's mom with Tyler a few days before her first chemo session

You just got a cute haircut! I wanna see it! (look at all those fun hats)

Gulp...making her way into the center...(reminds me of the pictures that missionaries take before going into the MTC--hahaha!)

These are her words as this was happening: "I just imagined that the nurse was putting chocolate syrup into my body and that it would heal everything inside." (from a family of boys--chocolate syrup usually does heal EVERYTHING...)

Just hanging out (I didn't realize chemo took 6 hours---zzzzzzzz)

She's eating. That's a good sign.

Here's momma--looking good!

Mom after her first chemo session. Quote from mom, "I think the reason my body felt so heavy after chemo is because of all the chocolate syrup. It just filled me up!"
I talked to my dad after mom's first session and asked, "So when is mom sicker: right now with cancer or when she's pregnant?" Without hesitation my dad said (as my mom yelled from the background--apparently I was on speaker), "Definitely sicker when pregnant." Great--now there's a lot to look forward to ;0)

Thank You!

Wow! I just got back from a wedding and decided to check out the Care Calendar to see if anyone had signed up...HELLO!!!!! The calendar is completely full for this month! Thank you thank you thank you! I also hear that everyone in the ward fasted yesterday for my mom—I really wanted to say thanks, and that it means so much.
Well while I was writing this blog entry my dad texted me saying that my mom’s chemo treatment has been postponed to the end of next week(March 12th)—sigh. We just want to get on with it! If you have signed up for meals this week, please call Sister Schneiber so that we can move them to next week if possible. Again, thanks for being our angels!

ALSO--if you are offering any help to my mom or family, doing food, giving rides, etc. it is CRITICAL THAT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE NOT SICK! Even if you have a sore throat cough, poison ivy, a root canal, etc. it would be better to let my family know and try to figure out another solution. Please don't come over. :0)

MY MOM WILL NOT HAVE THE MEANS TO FIGHT OFF ANY INFECTION. So this is a biggy! Thanks angels!
